We are a CPA firm that works with attorneys and their clients, as forensic accountants, principally family law and divorce. We also work with the State of Florida in eminent domain proceedings. We value businesses, prepare almost all the financial filings in a divorce, trace accounts, determine income of the parties, assist in finding missing assets and suggest asset distributions to each party. These are just a few of our tasks. Our cases are primarily in Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. We have a diversified staff with about 11 total staff and partners. We are located on the first floor of a modern office building near I-95 and Hillsboro Boulevard in Deerfield Beach.
Details regarding the position:
Tasks will include maintaining the litigation calendar for three partners, processing deposits (remotely), operating the billing and accounts receivable software program CCH Practice Management, preparing Microsoft Excel reports for cash receipts and maintaining accounts receivable collections. Processing personal and corporate tax returns (for approximately 100 clients). Prepare seasonal mailings. Tasks also include typing retainer agreements. Update of various firm lists and reports. Preparing various daily, monthly, and quarterly reports in Excel. Assist in office organization, ordering general office supplies and maintenance.
Skills necessary for the position:
Computer experience, proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and having previously been experienced in a billing and accounts receivable program. Prior experience in a professional firm as an administrator is preferred. You will also need to have a computer at home to remote into our office computer for times when working remotely would be permitted.
Additional information:
This is a full-time position, and we would like to meet you via Zoom asap, if your resume fits with our firm’s needs. Training would be in the office. Our staff is friendly, and we care about our work-life balance and can be quite flexible with time off. Overtime may be necessary from time to time, but not excessive. Candidate needs to be a self-starter without requiring micro-management from supervisors. Detail and competence are required. Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., health insurance, dental and vision after 60 days, Retirement Plan, PTO plan with 144 hours per year (after first year), Section 125 plan.
