Century Cruise Lines, a well-established brand in the cruise industry, is seeking a dynamic HR Generalist to oversee people operations across the organization. In addition to leading HR at Century Cruise Lines, this role will also carry responsibility for building and scaling the HR function at a growing travel startup.

This is a unique opportunity for a versatile HR leader to balance the structured HR demands of an established cruise line with the fast-paced, entrepreneurial needs of a startup. The ideal candidate will be both a strategic partner and hands-on operator, capable of building scalable HR systems, driving employee engagement, and aligning people practices with business goals across two distinct but connected businesses.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for Century Cruise Lines and its partner brands.

  • Develop onboarding and training programs tailored to each brand.

  • Support leadership in workforce and succession planning.

Employee Relations & Culture

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executives and employees across both companies.

  • Promote strong, positive workplace cultures aligned with each brand’s values.

  • Lead performance management and employee engagement initiatives.

Payroll, Benefits & Compliance

  • Administer payroll, benefits, and compliance with ADP across both businesses.

  • Recommend and manage competitive benefits packages.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.

Strategic HR Leadership

  • Maintain and enhance HR structures for an established cruise line.

  • Build scalable HR processes for a growing startup.

  • Advise leadership on organizational design, change management, and workforce strategy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in an HR generalist role.

  • Experience balancing HR responsibilities across multiple business units or brands.

  • Strong understanding of employment law, payroll, and benefits administration.

  • Proficiency with HRIS systems (ADP experience preferred).

  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.

  • Ability to thrive in both a structured corporate environment and a fast-paced startup.
