Job DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis in Davie, Florida. In this role, you will support the finance department by managing crucial accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and maintaining compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions using QuickBooks Desktop.
• Perform daily and monthly bank account reconciliations for multiple entities.
• Process payments, post billing, and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Reconcile credit card transactions and request supporting documentation as needed.
• Prepare intercompany journal entries and assist with due to/due from postings.
• Generate financial reports and assist with monthly and annual closings.
• Support payroll processing and calculate annual 1099 forms.
• Prepare and file sales tax returns on a monthly basis.
• Assist in researching and resolving accounting discrepancies.
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting principles.• Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of account reconciliation, including bank and credit card accounts.
• Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general bookkeeping.
• Ability to handle month-end close activities and prepare financial reports.
• Excellent data entry skills with keen attention to detail.
• Familiarity with payroll processing and 1099 calculations.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• Prior experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.
