We are currently seeking individuals interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement as Police Officer Trainees. Position Overview
As a Police Officer Trainee, you will enter a structured training program at a partner police academy, leading to Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) certification. You will develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to perform the duties of a sworn police officer, including crime prevention, law enforcement, community engagement, and public safety operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Successfully complete the police academy training program and meet state certification requirements.
  
  
• Participate in field training under the supervision of an experienced training officer.
  
  
• Learn and apply laws, ordinances, and police procedures to protect life and property.
  
  
• Engage with community members to build trust, promote safety, and reduce crime.
  
  
• Prepare reports, maintain accurate records, and testify in court when necessary.
  
  
• Operate police equipment, technology systems, and vehicles in a safe and professional manner.
  
  
• Collaborate with other officers, agencies, and community stakeholders.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
  
  
• At least 20 years of age.
  
  
• U.S. Citizen with a valid drivers license (NC or SC, or ability to obtain).
  
  
• No felony convictions or serious misdemeanor offenses.
  
  
• No DWI/DUI convictions in the last 5 years.
  
  
• Ability to pass a written exam, physical ability test, background investigation, and drug screening.
  
  
• Meet vision, hearing, and other physical requirements established by state standards.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Honorable military service (if applicable).
  
  
• Previous community service, volunteer, or public safety experience.
