We are seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to become an integral part of our team! You will help coordinate incoming and outgoing shipment activities.
Responsible for receiving delivers inbound parts and units. No fork lift experience require. Responsibility includes the processing of outgoing packages to customers. As well as maintaining the Shipping department stocked of essential packaging materials and supplies.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Make sure the department is Stocked with the correct corrugated box sizes, tape, packaging materials, product cases, cleaning cloths, POP materials, etc.
- Accurately receive deliveries.
- Ensure outgoing packages are packed correctly, accurately and timely.
- Compare the units to be invoiced and make sure it matches the units on the work order document.
- Make sure the box is shipped to the correct Customers, shipping address and the right shipping charges are applied, and all Customer requirements are met.
- Ensure all packages are properly labeled and sorted by ship via.
- Make sure that the Carriers scanner box count matches your shipping equipment box count. If not get the Supervision involved immediately.
- Maintain quality and productivity standards.
- Communicating errors/problems to the Supervision.
- Comply with all relevant safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Supervision.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
- Work cooperatively with team members and Supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be legal to work in the US.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Completion of criminal background check required.
- Ability to count hardware and follow verbal instructions.
- Previous shipping and receiving experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality record.
- Ability to work in a standing/walking position for long periods of time.
- Ability to multitask.
- Strong attention to details and
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 40 pounds.
