Job Title: HR Generalist
Location: Miami, FL
Pay: $20–$23 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our cabinet manufacturing team in Miami, Florida. The ideal candidate will oversee all HR operations within our manufacturing facility, ensuring effective workforce management, compliance with labor laws, and alignment of HR strategies with company goals.

This hands-on role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, industrial environment and has a passion for building strong teams and maintaining a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Recruitment & Staffing

  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies for skilled roles (e.g., carpenters, machine operators, designers, estimators, sales, admin staff).

  • Coordinate interviews, onboarding, and new hire training.

  • Establish partnerships with trade schools, vocational institutions, and staffing agencies.

2. Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

  • Address employee concerns and mediate workplace conflicts.

  • Implement employee recognition and retention programs.

3. Training & Development

  • Identify skill gaps and coordinate training in safety, machinery use, leadership, and soft skills.

  • Support ongoing professional development for team leaders and supervisors.

4. Compliance & Policies

  • Ensure compliance with all labor laws, OSHA regulations, and internal policies.

  • Maintain and update employee handbooks and workplace guidelines.

  • Oversee attendance, timekeeping, and leave management systems.

5. Performance Management

  • Implement and manage performance evaluation processes.

  • Collaborate with department heads to set KPIs and assess employee performance.

  • Recommend promotions, salary changes, and corrective actions as needed.

6. Payroll & Benefits

  • Supervise payroll processing for accuracy and timely distribution.

  • Manage employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, vacation, and sick leave.

  • Stay informed on compensation trends to maintain competitive packages.

7. Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce safety protocols, PPE use, and incident reporting.

  • Partner with leadership to improve workplace safety and employee well-being.

  • Coordinate safety training and compliance audits.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).

  • Minimum 2 years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing, woodworking, or industrial settings.

  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, OSHA standards, and HR best practices.

  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to balance administrative tasks with on-the-floor support.

  • Proficiency in HR software, payroll systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Salesforce.
