Summary
Operates computer and peripheral equipment to process data by performing the following duties.
Employee’s responsibilities regarding BSA – OFAC – AML – CTR laws, rules, and regulations:
- Attain and maintain acceptable level of knowledge of laws, rules and regulations including all updates and changes.
- Complete and accurately submit all necessary forms required by the laws, rules and regulations.
- Complete all steps required in laws, rules, and regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Performs all jobs listed on the daily, monthly, end of month, and yearly checklists.
- Maintains organization in the computer room.
- Assist in Network design and implementation.
- Provide Network support with a variety of operating systems.
- Provide network support to end users.
- Create and maintain network users/permissions.
- Maintain network connectivity of all computer workstations.
- Performs all daily backups and ensures that backups are secured when taken offsite.
- Enters commands and keys information on computer and peripheral equipment such as tape drive, printer, data communications equipment to integrate and operate equipment.
- Loads peripheral equipment with selected materials such as tapes and printer paper for operating runs or oversees loading of peripheral equipment by peripheral equipment operators.
- Enters commands to clear computer system and start operation.
- Observes peripheral equipment and error messages displayed on monitor of terminal to detect faulty output or machine stoppage.
- Enters commands to correct error or stoppage and resume operations.
- Notifies supervisor of errors or equipment stoppage.
- Clears equipment at end of operating run and reviews schedule to determine next assignment.
- Records problems that occur such as down time and actions taken.
- Answers telephone calls to assist computer users encountering problem.
- Assists workers in classifying, cataloging, and maintaining tapes.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of All Versions of Windows, Microsoft Office, Access, PowerPoint, Internet applications, and VMS/Cache. The individual must have a willingness to learn DataSafe, which is the credit union’s data processing system.
