Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Manage insurance renewals, claims, and workers' compensation processes.
- Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and filings.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support business objectives.
- Analyze settlement processes to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to align financial goals with organizational strategy.
- Monitor and manage cash flow.
- Lead audits and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Must-Have Skills:
- Experience as a VP of Finance, Controller, or CFO
- Transportation or trucking industry knowledge
- In-depth knowledge of insurance processes, including renewals, claims, and workers' compensation
- Strong leadership skills, as this role will manage a team of seven
- Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements
- Expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and reporting
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Knowledge of advanced financial software and tools
