The Kitchen Supervisor has a passion for culinary excellence and ensures smooth and efficient daily kitchen activities while managing staff and maintaining culinary supplies. Safety and compliance are key, as is ensuring top-notch sanitation and cleanliness. Effective communication and leadership skills are necessary to maintain a service-oriented environment.
KEY SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES
- SupervisorySkills:Oversee day-to-day kitchen activities, ensuring all associates fulfull their job functions appropriately.
- CulinaryKnowledge:Support food and beverage service operations and maintain culinary supplies
- CostandQualityControl:Analyzecosts,breakage,andqualitysupportforvariouskitchen
areas. - SafetyandCompliance:Educateassociatesonsafetyissuesandensurecompliancewith
healthandsafetyregulations. - CommunicationandLeadership:Approachallencounterswithguestsandassociatesina
friendly,service-orientedmannerandmaintainopencommunicationwithotherdepartments. - SanitationandCleanliness:Ensurethehighestlevelsofsanitationandcleanlinessinall
facilitiesand equipment.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- HighSchoolDiplomaorequivalent,withatleast1yearofexperienceinkitchenoperationsorasimilarfield,including a minimum of 1 year of supervisoryexperience.
- Knowledgeoffoodandbeverageserviceoperationsispreferred.
- Complies with certification requirements as applicable for position to include: Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR and First Aid
- AbilitytoacquireFoodManagerCertificationasrequiredbyapplicablestateregulations.
