A successful HR Director will execute the following:
Core Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute HR strategies that support long-term business objectives, including workforce planning, organizational design, and change management.
- Talent Management: Oversee full-cycle recruitment, executive-level hiring, and the development of retention programs to secure top talent.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure organization-wide adherence to federal, state, and local labor laws (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, EEOC) and conduct regular audits to mitigate legal risks.
- Total Rewards Strategy: Design and manage competitive compensation structures, benefit packages (health, retirement), and incentive programs.
- Employee Relations: Act as a senior mediator for complex disputes, oversee disciplinary actions, and foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
- Departmental Management: Manage the HR department's annual budget, supervise HR staff, and provide professional development for the HR team.
