The Restaurant Breakfast Server is a key part of the guest experience, responsible for delivering warm, efficient, and personalized service during breakfast hours. This role includes greeting guests, taking accurate food and beverage orders, providing menu recommendations, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction throughout the meal.

Successful candidates will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. A thorough knowledge of the menu and the ability to anticipate guest needs are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guest Interaction: Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor, provide menu guidance, and ensure a welcoming dining experience.

  • Order Management: Accurately take guest orders, communicate special requests to the kitchen and bar, and confirm modifications are fulfilled.

  • Service Delivery: Promptly serve food and beverages, monitor guest satisfaction, and respond to requests in a courteous and timely manner.

  • Menu Knowledge: Maintain in-depth understanding of menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, and beverage pairings to confidently answer guest questions and make suggestions.

  • Table Maintenance: Set, clear, and reset tables efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and readiness for incoming guests.

  • Payment Handling: Present checks, process payments accurately, and follow proper cash handling procedures.

  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate with kitchen, bar, and fellow service staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

  • Compliance & Safety: Adhere to all health, hygiene, and safety standards, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.

Qualifications

  • Previous serving or hospitality experience preferred, but not required.

  • Strong customer service skills with a professional and positive attitude.

  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a high-volume setting.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 pounds.

  • Basic knowledge of food safety and responsible alcohol service is a plus.

  • Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance in compliance with company grooming standards.

  • Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and confidentiality standards.

  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with guests and colleagues.

  • Ability to read and verify information in various formats (e.g., menus, tickets).

  • Must be able to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift, including lifting up to 50 lbs., navigating stairs and ramps, and performing repetitive motions such as bending, stooping, and reaching.

  • Respond to direction and adapt to changing needs as assigned by supervisors or management.

Licenses & Certifications

  • Must obtain and maintain any licenses or certifications required by local/state regulations.
