Position Overview:
Iron Grid Networks is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer with a business development mindset to drive new customer growth in the Jacksonville area. This role is ideal for someone who understands both technology and business value, can identify pain points, and can clearly articulate how managed IT and cybersecurity services solve them.
This is a growth-focused, client acquisition role.The right candidate will be proactive, consultative, and capable of leading conversations from discovery to proposal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Jacksonville and surrounding markets.
- Conduct discovery meetings to assess IT environments and business challenges.
- Develop and present tailored MSP, cloud, and cybersecurity solutions to prospective clients.
- Create professional proposals and quotes that align with Iron Grid Networks’ service offerings.
- Collaborate with technical leadership to validate proposed solutions.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads and track activity in the CRM system.
- Represent Iron Grid Networks at networking events, trade shows, and community organizations to drive brand awareness.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience selling technology solutions, IT services, or managed services.
- Strong understanding of SMB technology environments (Microsoft 365, networking, backup, cybersecurity).
- Proven success developing new business or growing accounts in a B2B setting.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Self-motivated, goal-driven, and comfortable working independently.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and basic sales pipeline management.
- Technical certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco) are a plus but not required.
