PositionSummary:
ThePayrollSpecialistprocessespayroll,compilespayrolldata,andmaintainsaccuratepayrollrecordsforUSandCanadalocations.Also,processesemployeestatuschanges,createson-goingweekly,monthly,quarterly,andannualreports,andperformsotherrelateddutiesasneededinpartnershipwithHumanResourcesandFinanceteams.
EssentialPositionFunctions:
- Payrollprocessing(USandCanada)andrelationshipwithpayrollvendors.
- Processpayrolldirectdeposits,taxwithholdings,wagegarnishmentsandvoluntarydeductionsaswellasoffcyclepayrollwhenneeded.
- Coordinateproduction,distribution,followupandcompletionofpayrollregistersandgeneralledgerreportsforallcompaniesinpartnershipwiththeFinanceteam.
- CreatesimpleandcomplexreportsforHumanResourcesandFinanceforovertime,vacationaccrual,severancedata,garnishments,benefitsspend,headcount,andadditionalreportsrequired.
- Maintainknowledgeofrulesandlawswhichgovernthepayrolladministrationpractices.
- Auditpayrollinformationforaccuracyandcorrectserrors,asneeded.
- Performactionsnecessarytotrackanddetermineregularandovertimepayandadditionalpayinformation.
- Reviewandprocesspayrolladjustments,includingvacation,sickandothertimeoff.
- Ensurethatpayroll-relatedtransactionsareprocessedincompliancewithexternalandinternalpolicies.
- ReceiveandrespondtopayrollinquiriesandresolvesdiscrepanciesasrequiredinpartnershipwithHumanResources.
- Completeemploymentverificationrequests.
- NotifyFinanceandHRLeadershipofupcomingpayrollactivitiesthatoccurbeyondtheregularpayrollcycle.
- ActivelyengageinproblemsolvingandspecialprojectswithintheHumanResourcesandFinanceteams.
- Activelyparticipatewithinternalorexternalpayrollaudits.
- Maintaincompleteconfidentialityandriskmanagementregardingemployeepayrollrelateddata.
- MaintaincurrentPayrollStandardOperatingProcedures.
- Trainbackuppayrollspecialist.
- ManagedataintegrationandprivacyissueswithmanagementandIT.
Education/Experience:
- BachelorsDegreeinAccounting
- Minimumof4yearsofUSmulti-state,multientitypayrollexperience
- Experienceinanaccountingrolepreferred.
- HighlevelofproficiencyinusingExceltobuildcompletereports.
- Exceptionalwrittenandverbalcommunicationskills.
- Abilitytomulti-taskinadynamicenvironment.
