PositionSummary:

ThePayrollSpecialistprocessespayroll,compilespayrolldata,andmaintainsaccuratepayrollrecordsforUSandCanadalocations.Also,processesemployeestatuschanges,createson-goingweekly,monthly,quarterly,andannualreports,andperformsotherrelateddutiesasneededinpartnershipwithHumanResourcesandFinanceteams.


EssentialPositionFunctions:

  • Payrollprocessing(USandCanada)andrelationshipwithpayrollvendors.
  • Processpayrolldirectdeposits,taxwithholdings,wagegarnishmentsandvoluntarydeductionsaswellasoffcyclepayrollwhenneeded.
  • Coordinateproduction,distribution,followupandcompletionofpayrollregistersandgeneralledgerreportsforallcompaniesinpartnershipwiththeFinanceteam.
  • CreatesimpleandcomplexreportsforHumanResourcesandFinanceforovertime,vacationaccrual,severancedata,garnishments,benefitsspend,headcount,andadditionalreportsrequired.
  • Maintainknowledgeofrulesandlawswhichgovernthepayrolladministrationpractices.
  • Auditpayrollinformationforaccuracyandcorrectserrors,asneeded.
  • Performactionsnecessarytotrackanddetermineregularandovertimepayandadditionalpayinformation.
  • Reviewandprocesspayrolladjustments,includingvacation,sickandothertimeoff.
  • Ensurethatpayroll-relatedtransactionsareprocessedincompliancewithexternalandinternalpolicies.
  • ReceiveandrespondtopayrollinquiriesandresolvesdiscrepanciesasrequiredinpartnershipwithHumanResources.
  • Completeemploymentverificationrequests.
  • NotifyFinanceandHRLeadershipofupcomingpayrollactivitiesthatoccurbeyondtheregularpayrollcycle.
  • ActivelyengageinproblemsolvingandspecialprojectswithintheHumanResourcesandFinanceteams.
  • Activelyparticipatewithinternalorexternalpayrollaudits.
  • Maintaincompleteconfidentialityandriskmanagementregardingemployeepayrollrelateddata.
  • MaintaincurrentPayrollStandardOperatingProcedures.
  • Trainbackuppayrollspecialist.
  • ManagedataintegrationandprivacyissueswithmanagementandIT.



Education/Experience:

  • BachelorsDegreeinAccounting
  • Minimumof4yearsofUSmulti-state,multientitypayrollexperience
  • Experienceinanaccountingrolepreferred.
  • HighlevelofproficiencyinusingExceltobuildcompletereports.
  • Exceptionalwrittenandverbalcommunicationskills.
  • Abilitytomulti-taskinadynamicenvironment.
