Job DescriptionJob Title: Shipping and Receiving ClerkJob Description

As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will play a vital role in operational support, dedicating approximately 60% of your time to order fulfillment, inventory management, and customer service. The remaining 40% will be focused on procurement-related tasks, including issuing purchase orders and collaborating with suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Pick orders and record lot numbers.
  • Process inventory transactions in the inventory management system.
  • Handle outbound shipments, including packaging and shipping.
  • Provide customer service assistance with inquiries such as tracking packages and providing shipment details.
  • Receive and process field returns of surgical instruments and implant trays.
  • Clean returned instruments and kits according to established procedures.
  • Print, store, and label finished products.
  • Perform chemical etching on instruments.
  • Issue purchase orders to suppliers for direct and indirect materials.
  • Maintain communication with suppliers and expedite product shipments.
  • Submit request for quote (RFQ) packets to suppliers.
  • Collaborate on value improvement programs to support cost reduction and efficiency.
  • Assist with purchasing and operational work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including FDA Quality Assurance regulations.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in shipping and receiving functions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong computer skills, especially in Excel.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with ERP purchasing and planning systems.
  • Ability to communicate technical requirements from engineering to suppliers.
  • Strong team player, flexible, and results-oriented.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma with a minimum of 2 years of administrative experience in a professional office environment.
  • Previous buying or purchasing experience is helpful.
  • Previous warehouse and order fulfillment/kitting experience required.
  • Industry-specific experience in medical devices or spine is strongly preferred.

Work Environment

The role involves working in an air-conditioned environment with time spent in both the warehouse and office settings. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jupiter, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
