Summary
Streamline Brands is a leading provider of swim lessons and water safety education for children and adults. We operate a chain of 170+ company-owned and franchised swim schools across the United States. Streamline Brands operates under multiple banners, including SafeSplash, Saf-T-Swim, SwimLabs, AquaKids, Miller, and Swimtastic.
The Director of Franchise Development is a full-time role that sells franchises in the US and ensures that new Streamline Brands franchises open successfully. The goal of the Director of Franchise Development is to bring good long-term partners into the i9 Sports system, fulfilling our goal to open more territories and reach more athletes.
Under the supervision of the Chief Development Officer, the primary responsibilities of this position will be to recruit, sell and award franchises to qualified candidates and meeting franchise sales goals and objectives. You will be required to effectively close sales while adhering to Federal and state franchise sales laws and Company policies and procedures. Developing strong relationships with prospects in your pipeline and keeping them engaged throughout the process is vital to the success of this position. Other responsibilities include qualifying and assessing candidates, prompt follow-up, assisting prospects through the sales process, responding to prospect questions, in-person sales presentations, documenting progress and interaction with the candidates in the CRM, keeping management apprised of the status of your pipeline, and other administrative functions as directed.
Roles and responsibilities:
Sales
- Establish trust and a strong rapport with all prospects
- Work with the qualifying and marketing team members and assess candidates
- Collaborate with Educate prospects on our brand and keep them engaged throughout the process, responding to questions and providing appropriate information
- Manage your franchise sales pipeline from the initial inquiry to closing
- Promptly and diligently respond to and follow up with all inquiries and leads
- Lead sales team meetings with junior developers and resale brokers
- Maintain a system of lead sharing with other franchise developers
- Adhere to company standards while being held accountable for reaching sales goals and metrics
- Manage and execute sales processes as directed to effectively close deals on a timely basis adhering to Federal and state franchise sales laws and Company policies and procedures
- Deliver phone/video conference presentations and in-person sales presentations
- Facilitate and confirm travel arrangements with prospects attending Discovery Day events
- Support and communicate brand quality standards, gain feedback when applicable
- Ensure the representation of the i9 Sports vision and values are communicated and understood
- Identify and separate high potential prospects from ones that are not likely to close
- Identify bottlenecks and objections with individual franchise candidates and work to solve them quickly
- Provide candidates expertise on topics in their decision process – financing, real estate, validation, etc.
- Effectively close sales to meet company's sales targets
- Provide feedback to Franchise team on sales processes, forecasting, and tools
Marketing
- Provide feedback to relevant colleagues on effectiveness of marketing initiatives
- Assist with generating and planning of new marketing initiatives to drive new leads into the pipeline
Real Estate
- Work with colleagues on the real estate site selection and approval process from initial conversation through broker identification/education to execution of the lease.
- Work with colleagues on market tours and site visits with the franchisee/prospective franchisee
Territory Openings
- Remain involved with candidates until they have opened their Territories
- Assist opening staff as necessary
Skill Requirements:
- 5+ years large-investment sales, franchise sales experience required
- Bachelor's degree required
- Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous candidates and workflows
- Self-motivated and self-guided
- Excellent communication skills
- Exercise skill in diplomacy in all relationships
- Proven ability to guide candidates through their decision process
- Ability to identify and solve bottlenecks and objections during the sales process
