Job DescriptionWe are a full service insurance agency offering clients a wide range of options with personalized services. Our agents are thoughtful, engaging and have well rounded insurance knowledge to provide clients an exceptional experience.In order to sell insurance, agents must obtain a license from the state in which they operate. This requires completing pre-licensing coursework and passing a state-sanctioned exam.Responsibilities
- Provides Personal Account services to include producing binder, certificates, policies and other related items
- Generate Initial Policy checks, including policy forms, policy term, policy number, premium, commission, etc.
- Follow up with Carriers, review and process endorsements and invoicing where necessary
- Provide courteous, accurate and timely communication with clients, co-workers, carriers, and other business contacts to build lasting relationships
- Set up and maintain accurate information in the companies agency management system
- Meet or exceed client retention goals
- Sales prospect pipeline development through multiple sources to include in person, phone, public speaking and direct mail
- Enhance agency reputation through ownership of requests and exploring value add opportunities for clients and team
- Seeks out continuing education from multiple sources
- Other projects as needed
Requirements
- High School / GED Education required
- Willing to object P&C and Life & Health License
- 3-5 years Personal Line Insurance experience
- Working knowledge of computers and relevant software applications, i.e., MS Office, Outlook, etc.
- Display excellent professional and genuine client facing communication skills
- Possess excellent written, verbal, organizational/prioritization and attention to detail skills
- Enjoys working independently and in a team environment
- Must be punctual, reliable and able to keep information confidential
- Previous work experience in sales, marketing, promotions or telemarketing is helpful
