Position Summary

The Purchasing Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the operational and financial efficiency of the restaurant group by managing purchasing activities, monitoring food costs, controlling inventories, and supporting data-driven decision-making across multiple restaurant locations.

This role requires hands-on experience in hospitality and restaurant operations, with a strong understanding of kitchen workflows, supplier management, and inventory systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and analyze purchasing activities for food, beverages, and operational supplies across multiple restaurant locations.
  • Monitor and control food cost, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Track, analyze, and reconcile inventory levels to prevent shortages, overstock, and waste.
  • Work closely with kitchen managers, chefs, and operations teams to ensure accurate ordering based on consumption and forecasts.
  • Maintain accurate data in purchasing and inventory systems, including but not limited to: Toast, MarginEdge or Other inventory or purchasing systems (experience with additional platforms is a plus).
  • Analyze vendor pricing, contracts, and usage trends to support cost optimization.
  • Prepare regular reports on food cost, inventory variance, and purchasing performance.
  • Support audits, invoices review, and cross-checking between vendors, inventory systems, and POS data.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and internal controls.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a purchasing, inventory, or food cost role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations and kitchen workflows (preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with: Food cost analysis, Inventory management, Purchasing processes
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-unit environment.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Valid documentation to work legally in the United States.
