Role Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Support Specialist to assist with daily operations within our private duty home care agency. This position supports the Business Office Manager and clinical leaders in maintaining accurate and timely back office, clerical, and select business office support functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with client intake, service coordination, and ongoing communication
- Support caregiver scheduling, assignments, and daily staffing needs
- Maintain accurate client and caregiver records
- Provide administrative support including phone coverage, documentation, and file management
- Assist with caregiver onboarding, training coordination, and compliance tracking
- Conduct routine client check-ins to ensure satisfaction and service quality
Requirements:
QualificationsEducation and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in healthcare administration, social services, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience in home care, healthcare administration, or a related support role preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion.
- Proficiency with scheduling systems, electronic health records, and general office software.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated customer service orientation and problem-solving ability.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements
- Work is primarily performed in an office environment with occasional travel to client homes or community locations as required.
- Must be able to sit, stand, and perform administrative tasks for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally for office-related tasks.
- Reliable transportation may be required based on agency needs.
