RTD Talent Solutions is currently representing one of the premier construction companies in Florida with headquarters in Doral, FL that is currently seeking a Project Accountant. This is a full-time, permanent role with excellent compensation and benefits package.
As Project Accountant, you would be responsible for the administrative and financial coordination and control of the firm's construction projects. This includes management of all customer contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders, and any other project related agreements and communications. This role would also oversee the preparation of customer invoices, subcontractor and supplier payments, and partial or final lien releases, requests for sworn statements of account, insurance certificates, and maintaining the related files, including original source documents. This position reports directly to the Controller and CFO, and indirectly to the Construction Manager or Operations Manager.
Key job duties, among others:
- Provide cost control - job cost reports, run rate analysis, corrections, etc.
- Support project budget - conversion from original project estimate, adjustments for changes, etc..
- Support Internal Project Review - estimates at complete, contract status reports, etc.
- Manage working capital - project cash flow, billing, collections and disbursement policies.
- Work directly with Project Managers to ensure schedule of values and billing are accurate and timely
- Coordination and expediting the execution of subcontract agreements
- Verify and upload contracts, subcontracts, change orders, purchase orders and associated contract related documentation.
- Monitor accounts payable process to ensure compliance with purchasing procedures
- Prepare AIA Pay Applications
- Process and monitor accounts receivable.
- Compute key project metrics including buyout and payment velocity.
