Senior Investment Analyst - Portuguese speaking

Job Description

Our client is seeking a Portuguese-speaking Investment Analyst to support the Chief Investment Officer and Financial Advisors with research, product analysis, portfolio support, and investment-related client servicing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and analysis on investment products across asset classes, including equities, fixed income, mutual funds, ETFs, structured products, and alternative investments available on the broker-dealer platform
• Prepare product comparisons, investment proposals, and portfolio diagnostics to support Financial Advisors and internal teams
• Assist with portfolio reviews, performance reporting, attribution analysis, and risk assessments
• Review offering documents, product literature, and disclosures to ensure suitability and alignment with broker-dealer guidelines
• Monitor capital markets, macroeconomic trends, and product updates to provide insights to advisors and clients
• Assist with model updates, rebalancing, and implementation of investment recommendations on advisory platforms

Qualifications

• Series 7 required; Series 66 or 63/65 preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
• 5+ years of investment research, broker-dealer product analysis, or wealth/investment support experience
• Fluency in Portuguese and English required
• Strong understanding of investment products used in the broker-dealer environment, including mutual funds, ETFs, fixed income, SMAs, structured products, and alternatives
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills; proficiency in Excel and investment analytics platforms (Bloomberg, Morningstar, or similar)
• Solid understanding of suitability, risk profiling, and compliance expectations in a regulated environment
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex investment topics for advisors and clients
• Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment
• Progress toward CFA or similar designation is a plus
