Job DescriptionJob Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist

Location: Boca Raton, FL Position Type: Direct Hire Salary Range: $60,000-$70,000 (DOE)

Overview

Our client in Boca Raton, FL is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their team on a direct?hire basis. This role is ideal for a detail?oriented professional with strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven background in AR operations. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing the full AR cycle, ensuring timely cash collection, accurate invoicing, and strong customer relationship management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and issue customer invoices with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitor outstanding receivables and perform proactive collection activities.
  • Post customer payments via checks, ACH, wire, and lockbox deposits.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and research discrepancies or short pays.
  • Maintain AR aging reports and provide weekly/monthly reporting to leadership.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (Sales, Operations, Customer Service) to resolve billing disputes.
  • Assist with month?end closing tasks related to AR, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Support process improvements to enhance AR efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and standard accounting procedures.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Accounts Receivable experience required.
  • Strong understanding of the full AR cycle (billing, collections, cash applications, reconciliation).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables preferred).
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, etc.).
  • Strong communication and customer?service skills when interacting with clients regarding payment issues.
  • High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and follow?through.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast?paced environment.

Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
