- General Ledger
Perform general ledger reconciliation and ensure accuracy of financial records.
Data entry and record keeping: Accurately enter and categorize financial transactions, including purchases, reimbursements, receipts, and payments. Maintain and update financial records, such as general ledgers, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Organize and file financial documents and records. - Financial Statements
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Assist with preparing financial reports and statements. Respond to inquires and provide support to other departments. Learn and develop accounting skills under the guidance of senior staff. - Budgets and Forecasts
Assist accounting team in preparation of budgets and forecasts. - Regulatory and Compliance
Conduct regulatory reporting to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policy of SCMHC. - Accounts Payable
Manage and process accounts payable timely and accurately. Reconciliation and Verification: Assist with reconciling bank statements and other financial accounts. Verify the accuracy of financial data and identify any discrepancies. - Accounting Software
Input, process tasks, and audit the Sage accounting software. - Oversight
Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff. - Other Minor Tasks
Verify and process check requests per SCMHC policy.
May assist with pretty cash management, invoice processing, bank and credit card reconciliations, payroll related transactions, electronic and paper disbursements of payables, processing all revenue receipts, downloading online transactions from Vendors and banks as needed.

Guidance and support to Jr. Accounting team - WRITTEN & VERBAL COMMUNICATIONS
Must be able to clearly communicate English
- FUNCTIONAL, SPECIALIZED & TECHNICAL
GAAP, advanced skill in Excel
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE - at a minimum must have the below!
Must have 2 years experience in Sage and Great Plains Accounting program.
Graduated from accredited college with four year degree with concentration in accounting.
Knowledge and ability to apply GAAP in practice.
Knowledge of Microsoft office products, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
