The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounting processes, assisting with reporting and audits, and ensuring compliance with U.S. accounting standards. This role offers an opportunity for professional growth and collaboration in a dynamic, cross-border business environment.
The successful candidate will have five years experience with a US company.
Main Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and account reconciliations. Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closings. Generate financial statements and assist in financial reporting packages. Perform detailed variance analysis and support budgeting and forecasting. Support the preparation of tax filings (federal, state, local) with external providers. Handle accounts payable and receivable cycles, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Process payroll and related reporting in coordination with HR or external providers. Assist in implementing accounting policies and internal controls. Work with auditors during internal and external audits. Support implementation and improvement of accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks). Collaborate with global finance team (especially Peru HQ) for financial consolidation and alignment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus). 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards. Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks required; experience with others is a plus). Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Meticulous attention to detail and high level of integrity. Bilingual in English and Spanish required. Experience in the construction or real estate sector is a plus.
