Job DescriptionWork Type: 3 month temp, full time, onsite Pay: $24-27/hr Responsibilities

  • Tax Filing Support: Assist with preparation and submission of state and local tax filings, including sales, use, and excise taxes.
  • Data Entry & Reconciliation: Enter tax-related data into accounting systems and reconcile tax accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain organized records of tax returns, payment confirmations, and compliance documents.
  • Payment Processing: Support timely processing of tax payments and monitor deadlines to avoid penalties.
  • Compliance Assistance: Ensure adherence to relevant tax regulations and company policies; escalate discrepancies promptly.
  • Audit Preparation: Gather and organize documentation for internal or external tax audits.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with finance and accounting teams on tax-related queries and reporting needs.
  • Ad-Hoc Projects: Provide support for special tax projects or system updates as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Prior experience in tax administration, accounting, or finance support roles.
    • Familiarity with tax filing processes and compliance requirements.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and accounting/tax software.
    • Ability to work with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) is a plus.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
    • Availability for temporary assignment (duration as specified by employer).

Pay Details: $24.00 to $27.00 per hour
