Commissary Manager QualificationsEducation & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelors degree in business, hospitality, or culinary management preferred
- Minimum of 35 years of experience in food service management, commissary operations, or a related field
- Proven experience managing a team in a high-volume kitchen or food production environment
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and inventory control
- Familiarity with food preparation equipment, commercial kitchen operations, and supply chain logistics
- Proficient in inventory management systems, POS software, and basic Microsoft Office applications
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication abilities
Certifications (preferred or required):
- ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification
- HACCP training or certification is a plus
- Valid drivers license (if the position requires travel or delivery coordination

- High attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
