Job DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled and detail-driven Accountant to join our team in Miami, Florida. This Contract-to-permanent position offers the opportunity to contribute to financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reconciliations, balance sheets, and income audits. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach to maintaining compliance and supporting key financial processes.
Responsibilities:
• Perform monthly account reconciliations to verify accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Analyze and prepare balance sheets, ensuring all adjustments are properly documented.
• Conduct detailed income audits to identify and resolve discrepancies in daily revenue and expense reports.
• Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
• Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary financial data and address accounting issues.
• Maintain organized and accurate records to support both internal and external audits.
• Prepare journal entries and contribute to the maintenance of the general ledger.
• Support audit requests by providing relevant documents and data.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards through thorough financial reviews.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounting.
• Strong knowledge of account reconciliations, financial statements, and income audits.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks or NetSuite.
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial tools such as ADP or Concur is a plus.
• Solid understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and auditing processes.
