Job Title: Compliance Coordinator
Department: Administrative/HR
Supervisor: Executive Director of Operations
Job Summary:
The Compliance Coordinator works directly under the supervision of the Executive Director of Operations and assists with maintaining compliance with DCF, AHCA, DEA, CLIA, and Joint Commission standards throughout the organization. They also work directly with the Human Resources team at GMH Associates to ensure compliance with all personnel regulations. This is a part-time position, with hours being Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9am-5pm EST.
Requirements & Minimum Qualifications
Education:

Bachelor’s Degree required
Experience:
-
At least 1 year experience working in a behavioral healthcare setting

Experience with DCF, AHCA, and Joint Commission standards, preferred
-
At least 1 year of experience in employee onboarding and offboarding, required
-
Spanish-speaking a plus
Skills/Knowledge:

Professional presentation

Strong adherence to confidentiality guidelines, HIPAA

Attention to detail, organization, time management

Ability to work independently and with discretion

Effective communication skills and ability to prioritize job duties

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software systems
Job Duties & Competencies
-
Maintain current knowledge of Joint Commission Standards and Elements of Performance and ensure company adherence

Maintain current knowledge of DCF and AHCA licensing regulations and ensure company adherence
-
Liaison with relevant agencies relating to all licensures, audits, and accreditations
-
Maintain accurate employee records
-
Track staff flu vaccination acceptance/declination forms
-
Verify staff licensure/credentialing status every 6 months
-
Track CPR/First Aid/BLS certifications for appropriate staff and schedule trainings as needed
-
Track annual CEU requirements for staff and send email reminders
-
Block AHCA ineligible staff in Kipu for all Mental Health admissions
-
Ensure AHCA Level II background check renewals are in compliance
-
Maintain PerformYard roster of employees with all relevant employee information
-
Track compliance with 90-day and annual performance reviews
-
Serve as the liaison between GMH and Managers to ensure proper onboarding process is followed and a smooth transition for all parties involved
-
Conduct New Hire Onboarding with all new staff including review of relevant policies and regulations and completion of required trainings
-
Assist Managers in scheduling New Hire meetings with relevant departments
-
Provide employee badges and submit relevant staff photographs for inclusion on website
-
Maintain calendar for common meeting places including Large Private Dining Room
-
Monitor and send monthly announcements for employee superstars, new hires, and annual work anniversaries

Coordinate and execute employee appreciation activities, recognitions, events, etc.

Performs other tasks as requested by supervisor
