Job Summary
We're looking for a Strategic Partnerships Specialist who will play a key role in sourcing, cultivating and executing new strategic revenue partnerships that will grow BMG's customer base and elevate its commercial brand. Your role will sit at the cross-section of the Revenue team and other critical departments (Marketing, Product, Operations, Legal), as well as work directly with outside partners to help facilitate the sales process from end to end.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end sales lifecycle of new strategic partners
- Develop a growing pipeline of partnership opportunities in key industries that will be leveraged by Revenue's senior management to sell and close new deals
- Perform market research on key industry verticals to measure/size growth opportunities for D2C customer acquisition
- Track and report sales activity, key performance metrics, and general updates for executive review and visibility
- Perform initial due diligence and facilitate applicable compliance and legal review of pre-partnership deliverables
- Act as a liaison of the Revenue team, working cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Operations, Compliance, and Legal departments to execute on key initiatives
- Execute on ad hoc projects and initiatives that contribute to the Company's overall commercial brand and profitability
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in sales, business development, or other revenue/growth-related capacities (experience at a fintech company is a big plus).
- Working knowledge of or direct experience within the financial services industry, specifically related to consumer finance and core credit/financial principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills within a professional business setting
- Collaborative working style, with an ability to influence without authority across teams and departments
- Attention to detail and high standards for personal output and work quality
- Entrepreneurial mindset: a bias toward action and a proactive, results-driven approach to day-to-day tasks and projects
- Strong organizational skills with established personal processes/systems to manage objectives in a fast-paced working environment
- Ability to "manage upward", maintaining communication & visibility with direct supervisor/leadership on active projects and initiatives
- Experience in a startup or at a fast-scaling organization is a strong plus
