Job DescriptionJOB DESCRIPTION:
A Bartender is responsible for taking food and beverage orders; entering orders quickly and in proper sequence; serving food and beverages for guests at the bar and tables in the restaurant, if required; coordinating with the kitchen to ensure timely service and quality of the food; and providing the highest quality of service to the customer at all times; performing all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Takes food and beverage orders, places orders, delivers orders, checks back after delivery of food and beverage to ensure guest satisfaction, observes guests to respond to any additional needs
- Maintains bar and table appearance by pre-bussing, checks drink levels, removes clutter and provides adequate napkins, etc.
- Presents check for payment, processes payments, and provides change, as needed
- Stocks and organizes bar, as required
- Ensures friendly welcoming service at all times
- Process payments via POS register system
- Follows customer service, adult beverage, and cash handling policies and procedures
- Keeps assigned station clean, sets up and takes down station tables appropriately
- Any and all duties assigned by management
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

- Must meet state minimum age for serving alcoholic beverages
- Must have at least 6 months of closely related bartending/serving experience
- Work experience in high volume or fast casual dining restaurant environment preferred
- Must be able to pass required state food safety certification requirements
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to pass pre-employment testing (i.e. drug test, background check, etc)
- Must have full availability and be able to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:
- Ability to read, write and speak English (multi-lingual a plus)
- Ability to understand, follow and give written and oral instructions
- Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with guests
- Ability to interact with guests and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner
- Ability to work harmoniously with fellow employees and guests
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Thank guests with genuine appreciation
- Ability to speak with others using clear and professional language
- Skills to develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 20 lbs
- Ability to (<8 hours per day) walk, bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions
- Ability to frequently immerse hands in water and water diluted with chemical solutions
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors, including prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures
