ChildNet, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit community-based care (CBC) agency servicing Broward and Palm Beach County. We are contracted with the State of Florida, Department of Children and Families, to provide case management support to abused, abandoned, and neglected children. ChildNet is nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) and employs over 500 staff at its location in Ft Lauderdale and West Palm Beach, Florida.

Job Summary: This position supports the intake & placement department by performing administrative support duties such as the creation of memos, meeting agendas, minutes, reports, manuals, budgets, and the distribution of these materials throughout the department.

  • Arrange calendars and coordinates schedules for department activities including meetings, interviews, travel, equipment repair and service.
  • Responsible for verifying the accuracy of reports and plans, copying of pertinent documents, and distributing to relevant team members.
  • Establish and maintain department logs, budget(s), records, maintenance procedures, and filing systems.
  • Process correspondence and forms that may be of confidential or sensitive nature.
  • Acts as liaison by gathering information and relaying information between supervisors, professional staff, department head, other department agencies.
  • Monitor and track cash receipts, department accounts and related payment processing records to the functional area of assignment.
  • Respond to inquiries, concerns and complaints from the general public. Provides resolution or directs to the relevant department or team member.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills / Requirements

Years of Experience:

  • Three (3) years or more of administrative work experience

Education/Licenses/Certifications:

  • GED or High School Diploma
