Position: Senior Accountant
Location: West Palm Beach, FL
Salary: $60k
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven individual to join as a Accountant/Bookkeeper. Our client is a fabric showroom, design center and furniture and fabric outlet. They have a large showroom showcasing luxury fabrics, trims, wall paper and furniture!
Position: Accounting Specialist
Salary: $60,000 annually
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Software: QuickBooks Online
Key Responsibilities

Perform daily data entry of sales, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR) transactions into QuickBooks Online.

Reconcile daily sales and perform banking activities to ensure accurate cash flow tracking.

Prepare end-of-month financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheet reconciliations.

Maintain up-to-date and accurate accounting records, including invoice processing, payment tracking, and deposits.

Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure ongoing financial health of the business.

Support month-end closing processes through journal entries, reconciliations, and financial summaries.

Identify financial discrepancies and work with management to implement corrective actions.

Assist in creating simple financial statements and supporting documentation for internal review.

Collaborate with team members across departments to align financial operations with business goals.
Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a retail environment.

Strong understanding of AP, AR, and general accounting principles.

Experience with QuickBooks Online is required.

Ability to independently manage daily financial data entry and reporting.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Additional experience in preparing profit/loss statements, budget analysis, or financial planning is a plus and offers growth opportunities within the company.
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience in end-to-end accounting cycles, including month-end and year-end close.

Prior experience working with banks and managing business accounts.
