Position Overview
The Director of Billing is responsible for overseeing the billing operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and developing key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness and efficiency of billing processes. This role will lead a team to optimize billing workflows, manage revenue integrity, and support the acquisition of new markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of billing operations to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of billing processes.
- Optimize billing workflows to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
- Ensure revenue integrity and accurate financial reporting.
- Collaborate with other departments to support the acquisition of new markets and initiatives.
- Create standard operating procedures (SOPs) for billing processes.
- Monitor and analyze billing trends and provide insights to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in billing or revenue cycle management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of billing compliance regulations and healthcare reimbursement processes.
- Proficiency in developing and analyzing KPIs related to billing operations.
- Experience with billing systems and software, including reconciliation processes.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
