Position Summary


The Provider Contract & Support Coordinator is responsible for the oversight and coordination of provider malpractice insurance and state-required collaboration of supervisory physician arrangements. This position ensures all providers maintain proper professional liability coverage and compliance with stat-specific supervision/collaboration requirements. The role involves contract tracking, documentation accuracy, regulatory compliance, and cross-departmental communication to support organizational readiness.

Key Responsibilities


Provider Collaboration & Supervision

  • Coordinate, maintain, and monitor collaboration/supervision agreements per state medical and nursing board regulations.
  • Track renewals, deadlines, and required documentation to ensure compliance with evolving requirements.
  • Schedule and document collaboration/supervision meetings between providers and designated physicians.
  • Monitor supervised hours for providers working toward independence practice; assist with reporting to boards.
  • Maintain digital logs and tracking systems for all agreements and related documentation.
  • Align collaboration agreements with onboarding, role changes, and provider scope of practice.
  • Educate internal teams on requirements, timelines, and documentation standards.
  • Conduct audits to verify agreement compliance and escalate issues to Regulatory leadership as needed.

Malpractice Insurance Management

  • Oversee enrollment, renewal, and documentation of malpractice insurance for all active providers.
  • Maintain accurate records of policy details (limits, terms, effective/expiration dates).
  • Serve as liaison with insurance carriers, brokers, and providers to resolve coverage issues.
  • Assist providers with applications, ensuring policies meet organizational and legal standards.
  • Proactively track timelines to prevent lapses and ensure timely renewals.
  • Conduct periodic audits of insurance records for accuracy and compliance.
  • Partner with Regulatory, Credentialing, and Compliance teams to support credentialing and audit readiness.

Administrative & Compliance Support

  • Act as the primary point of contact for provider inquiries regarding insurance and collaboration agreements.
  • Generate regular contract and coverage status reports for Regulatory leadership.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes by ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Assist with audit preparation and regulatory reporting requirements.

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Regulatory Affairs, Business, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in provider support, credentialing, regulatory compliance, or healthcare administration.
  • Knowledge of state laws related to provider collaboration/supervision and malpractice insurance.
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and documentation management systems.
  • Preferred Certifications: ASHRM, AALNC, CPHRM, CPMSM, AAPC.
