Education
· Finance related bachelor’s degree or other business-related experience required.
Experience / Qualifications
- Minimum two years demonstrated experience in finance, budgeting, and analytics.
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, Lookups, Charts, Advanced Formulas and Macros).
- Advanced logic skills with knowledge of database interaction.
- Prior costing, productivity, and revenue cycle experience a plus.
- Advanced Microsoft Office: PowerPoint and Word.
- Strong interpersonal communication and organization skills required.
- Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing.
- Must have fundamental accounting knowledge and how the principals relate to building business plans and proformas (GAAP, accrual-based accounting).
Position Summary
Under the direction of the Manager of Decision Support, the Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting finance and budgeting initiatives including:
- Essential functions are to strategize for future growth to ensure scalability.
- Design and deploy data table structures, forms, reports, and queries.
- Ensure integrity of cost data, including scheduled uploads, downloads, and reconciliations.
- Review allocations of expense to appropriate departments as necessary.
- Update and maintain cost accounting software and allocation templates.
- Assist with variance reports and explanations.
- Support revenue calculations and journal entries for the monthly financial close process.
- Assist Finance/Accounting team with other items and reports as required.
- Month end financial review and analysis. Must have the ability to deep dive into the numbers and identify key drivers of financial performance.
