Job Summary

The Central Processing Specialist I will guarantee that incoming and outgoing correspondence is distributed in a timely manner across the various business lines. This involves the delivery of interoffice correspondence. Additionally, the specialist is responsible for processing payments, deposits, and transfers received via mail. The central processing specialist is also responsible for the imaging of documents received from internal and external members.

Essential Functions and Position Duties

  • Responsible for collecting and sorting mail from the Post Office and preparing it for distribution.
  • Responsible for accurately processing member loan payments, share deposits, and transfers received by mail.
  • Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely distribution of incoming interoffice mail.
  • Responsible for logging incoming packages and preparing special shipping requests.
  • Work address verification report to ensure that addresses are properly registered in the system.
  • Validate and perform file maintenance on accounts as requested by members.
  • Resolve member, employee, and branch issues regarding mail deposits.
  • Process verification of deposit (VOD) forms and other letters as requested by members.
  • Responsible for processing returned statements and performing maintenance on accounts.
  • Prepare and mail address change verification letters.
  • Prepare and meter outgoing mail throughout all business lines.
  • Image account documentation received via interoffice mail and by email.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree - Preferred
  • 2-4 Years of Financial Services Experience
