CLASSIFICATION: Full time, exempt
REPORTS TO: Audit Partner and Managers
Primary purpose of job: to provide audit services to clients, primarily, in the governmental and not-for-profit industries and to retirement systems and employee benefit plans. Core responsibilities and abilities include:
· Planning, coordinating, performing and supervising attest engagements
- Reviewing the work product of and training staff accountants
- Proficiency with accounting and auditing research including knowledge of the reference sources available to the firm
- Knowledge of FASB’s, GASB’s and the Uniform Guidance
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office products and audit-specific software
- Developing quality client relationships and loyalty
Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Accounting
· Minimum of 2 years of experience as a senior accountant/auditor in a certified public accounting firm
· Minimum total of 4 years in public accounting or in the governmental industry
· Minimum of 4 years of experience in auditing in governmental or not-for-profit industries is a plus
· Experience in fund accounting is a plus
· Florida Certified Public Accountant license is a plus
Salary: commensurate with experience
