The Compliance Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring that all franchise and internal operations follow legal and regulatory standards, as well as company policies and procedures. This role is ideal for an experienced paralegal who has worked with contracts, legal compliance, and regulatory matters especially in a franchise or multi-location business environment. The Compliance Supervisor will lead compliance efforts, supervise a small team, support legal operations, and help enforce company standards across departments and franchisees.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and interpret franchise agreements, the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD), and other legal documents

  • Oversee day-to-day compliance operations and supervise compliance staff
  • Support contract enforcement and investigate breaches or non-compliance issues
  • Conduct compliance audits and prepare detailed findings and reports
  • Advise departments and franchisees on compliance requirements and procedures
  • Draft and update internal compliance policies, memos, and communications
  • Assist legal counsel with regulatory inquiries, disputes, and documentation
  • Provide training to internal teams and franchisees on legal and compliance topics
  • Collaborate with departments including Legal, Operations, Sales, IT, and Accounting to ensure legal compliance throughout the organization

Qualifications:

Paralegal certification or equivalent legal education required

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a paralegal, compliance, or legal operations role
  • 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
  • Strong background in contract review, compliance monitoring, and legal writing
  • Familiarity with franchise law and the FDD (Franchise Disclosure Document) is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Willingness to travel for audits or franchise visits if needed
