Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Miami, Florida. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and overseeing essential accounting processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on construction industry accounting.

Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee all accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, financial reporting, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets.
• Prepare comprehensive cash flow statements and ensure accurate tracking of financial performance.
• Handle document control and scanning processes, ensuring proper organization and compilation of financial records.
• Utilize ProCore software to manage budgets, change orders, vendor invoices, approvals, and payment processing, while ensuring synchronization with QuickBooks.
• Lead the transition from QuickBooks Desktop to Enterprise Suite, ensuring seamless integration and accurate data migration.
• Administer construction-related billing processes, including percentage-of-completion calculations and specialized industry invoicing.
• Collaborate with internal office staff and field teams to ensure alignment on financial processes and reporting.
• Supervise compliance with financial regulations and best practices within the construction industry.
• Provide detailed financial analysis and support for strategic decision-making.
• Maintain accountability for a $50M revenue cycle while ensuring high standards of financial accuracy.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Extensive experience in accounting and financial management within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and Enterprise Suite, with prior experience in system migrations.
• Familiarity with ProCore software for budgeting, invoicing, and payment processing.
• Strong understanding of advanced accounting principles, including percentage-of-completion and construction billing.
• Ability to prepare detailed financial reports, including statements of cash flow, profit and loss, and balance sheets.
• Excellent organizational skills for managing document control and scanning processes.
• Willingness to work onsite in Miami, Florida and commit to a demanding schedule, potentially exceeding 60 hours per week.
