Responsibilities
- Prepare and review a wide range of individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns with a focus on accuracy and compliance
- Apply federal, state, and local tax codes to ensure clients receive the maximum benefit
- Provide proactive tax planning strategies
- Stay current on changes in tax law and public accounting standards
- Manage, train, and mentor tax staff
- Review financial statements and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and address inquiries
- Review and respond to client comments and feedback
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or EA preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of tax experience
- Strong tax preparation and public accounting background with solid regulatory knowledge
- Excellent analytical and detail-oriented skills
- Strong understanding of financial statement preparation
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (Drake Tax preferred but not required)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
