About the Role

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple bookkeeping accounts in a fast-paced environment. Also have experience working with not-for-profit corporations and using the accrual accounting method. Vantaca software knowledge a plus, but we can train.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and pay vendor invoices in a timely manner
  • Communicate with customers and vendors to resolve billing or payment inquiries
  • Month end bank reconciliations, journal entries, recurring journal entries, maintaining prepaid insurance chart
  • Review monthly financial statements to ensure accuracy and compare with supporting reports
  • Set up auto pays. Set up bank accounts. Set up and track loans and special assessments

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping
  • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to learn and navigate Vantaca software, plus Microsoft Office Workspace tools, Avid/Strongroom and Teams
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
