Our CPA firm is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented accountant who enjoys working with others in the office and consulting with clients. The accounting position duties include preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns, calculation of payroll and sales tax and financial statement preparation along with client consulting. Our firm works with individuals and small to large businesses.
Requirements:

Accounting and tax preparation experience: 5 years/CPA or enrolled agent status

Extensive Experience with QuickBooks

Proficient with LaCerte or similiar, Word, Excel & Outlook
Job Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Managing all aspects of your client list
-
Reviewing clients books and records; live and after the fact

Reviewing the bookkeeper's work; giving feedback, training etc.

Preparing financial statements and consulting with the client

Preparation and review of all types of returns (Federal & State) 1040, 1040NR, 1041, 1120/1120S, 1065 and 990

Tax planning, tax projections

Addressing and resolving IRS/State notices including communication with the IRS/State, client and writing written responses accordingly

Performing tax & accounting research as necessary
Only those with prior CPA Firm experience should apply for this position
Candidate needs to be self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team atmosphere. This position requires attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
Salary commensurate with experience
Job is Full Time with paid overtime during tax season
