Job Summary:

Junior Accountant supports the accounting department by performing a variety of tasks, including posting journal entries, preparing financial statements, and maintaining accounts payable and receivable. They also assist with payroll, reconciliations, and audits under the supervision of senior accountants. Essentially, they handle the day-to-day accounting operations and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain financial records and reports

  • Manage general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

  • Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations

  • Conduct regular audits and resolve discrepancies

  • Process payroll and manage tax filings (if applicable)

  • Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits

  • Provide financial analysis to support decision-making

  • Assistance with Month-End and Year-End Close

  • communicate with other departments, clients, and vendors regarding billing and financial matters.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • Proven experience (2+ years) in a similar accounting role

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, or similar)

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
