We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Miami Lakes. This role is ideal for someone with expertise in the construction or home renovation industry who can lead financial operations and reporting processes effectively. You will play a key role in overseeing accounting functions, managing cash flow, and ensuring accurate profit and loss reporting across multiple entities.

Must Have:

• QuickBooks (on-line)
• Home Renovation, Improvement and/or Construction industry
• Bachelor's Degree

Salary $110 to around $120,000 with Bonus potential to earn $150,000 all in

Schedule: In office, standard hours with one day Remote

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

• Oversee monthly closing processes and prepare comprehensive profit and loss reports, including variance analysis by department.

• Monitor and report on cash flow, providing actionable insights to support financial stability.

• Track project expenses and completion metrics while maintaining detailed financial records.

• Prepare and manage budgets for various departments, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

• Handle intercompany transactions and ensure accurate reporting across multiple entities.

• Utilize QuickBooks Online for accounting tasks and financial reporting.

• Implement cost accounting or job costing practices to optimize project profitability.

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.

• Lead and mentor a small team to achieve departmental objectives.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Proven experience in construction or home renovation accounting.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online.

• Strong knowledge of profit and loss reporting and variance analysis.

• Familiarity with cash flow forecasting and management.
