Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Treats guests with a sense of caring and individuality while effectively identifying their specific needs
  • Informing supervisor of guest needs which may require special accommodations
  • Showing special recognition of frequent guests
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and comfortable environment for Guests at all times
  • Consistently welcoming guests, thanking them for their patronage, seeking ways to make them comfortable and expressing your desire to have them return
  • Presenting a neat, clean, well-groomed appearance at all times
  • Maintaining constant awareness of services, promotions, and events offered at the facility and informs guests
  • Washes, rinses and sanitizes china, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, utensils and any other equipment utilized in food service
  • Sweep, mop, take out trash and cardboard to designated refuse location
  • Stores all dishes, pots, pans and utensils away in designated location within accordance of State, Local, Seminole Gaming Health Board and Fire Safety Regulations
  • Responsible for sorting silverware and glassware
  • Receives and stores product from delivery trucks in accordance with FIFO
  • Maintains cleanliness of kitchens and storage areas
  • Maintains Guest Service standards at all times
  • Maintains a neat, clean and organized work station throughout entire shift
  • Assists with set up and tear down of banquet functions to include returning items to their designated location
  • Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discretely notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations
  • Demonstrate actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company’s Mission and Values of Communication, Integrity, Fun, Respect, Accountability, Passion and Dedication
  • Ensure prompt and discrete notification to management and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations.


    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays and special promotions as required.
    • Ability to effectively communicate in English.
    • Work effectively within a team environment.
    • Flexible to change.
    • Promote and maintain a positive image at all times.
    • Present a neat and well groomed appearance.
    • Complete assigned duties and tasks within allotted timeframe.
    • Basic knowledge of MSDS (material Safety Data Sheet) and its usage.
    • Basic mathematical skills specific to job responsibilities are required, to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
    • High School Diploma, GED preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
    • Minimum of one year experience in a high volume establishment related to food service.
    • This position is very physical, requiring the ability to lift 80 pounds and lift and carry 50 pounds consistently throughout an eight hour shift and requires constant standing, walking with occasional sitting, reaching outward and above shoulder level, squatting or kneeling, bending and climbing. Ability to work in fast paced, warm and confined environment.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    • May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise.
    • The casino is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. You may be required to work on any of the days the casino is open including weekends and holidays.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
    • The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
    • The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke, excessive noise and constant exposure to general public.
    • Frequent lifting/carrying of weights over 25 pounds, reaching, stooping, squatting and bending.

    CLOSING:

    The Tribal Council gives preference in all of its employment practices to Native Americans. First preference in hiring, training, promoting and in all other aspects of employment is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet the job requirements. Second preference is given to members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.
