Job Description:
We are seeking a Banquet Houseperson to join our team. The Houseperson will supervise, train and ensure the performance of assigned Banquet personnel so that all procedures all completed to the hotel's standards. This role is expected to assist where necessary to ensure optimum service to guests. As a key member of the Eau Palm Beach team, you will play an essential role in delivering exceptional service to our guests, upholding the standards of our Forbes Five-Star resort.
This role is a flexible position (AM / PM) and all candidates must be able to work weekends, holidays, and nights. We have (2) full-time positions available.
Essential Qualifications:
- Two years’ experience as Banquet Houseman.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements and proper chemical handling.
- Knowledge of all styles of room set-ups, standard equipment involved and proper handling of such.
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding.
- Ability to provide legible communication.
- Ability to do basic arithmetic.
Essential Skills:
- Ability to maintain hotel's standards, policies and procedures with assigned staff.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments, delegate work.
- Ability to direct performance of assigned staff and follow up with corrections where needed.
- Ability to motivate assigned staff and maintain a cohesive team.
- Ability to ascertain staff training needs and provide such training.
- Ability to be a clear thinker, analyze and resolve problems, exercising good judgment.
- Ability to focus attention on details.
- Ability to endure abundant physical movements in carrying out job duties.
- Ability to exert physical effort in transporting and placement of tables, chairs, staging, dance floor, podiums and other banquet/meeting room equipment.
- Ability to ensure security of storage room access and hotel property.
- Ability to work without direct supervision.
