The Sales Representative will be responsible for generating new business, managing client
relationships, and achieving sales targets. This role requires excellent communication skills,
a proactive approach, and the understanding of the ocean transportation industry.
1. Client Relationship Management
Maintaining and developing relationships with existing clients: Regular
communication, understanding their needs, and ensuring high levels of client
satisfaction.
Prospecting and acquiring new clients: Identifying potential clients, reaching
out to them, and converting leads into customers.
2. Sales Strategy and Execution
Developing sales strategies: Creating and implementing effective sales strategies to
meet the company's revenue goals.
Market analysis: Researching and analyzing market trends, competitors, and customer
preferences to identify opportunities and threats.
Tariff Analytics: Understand and offer rates for respective commodities viable to the
services the company offers.
3. Negotiation and Contracts
Negotiating contracts: Discussing terms and conditions with clients to secure
profitable deals while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Contract management: Ensuring all contracts are accurate, up-to-date, and comply with
company policies.
4. Promotion and Marketing
Promoting services: Highlighting the benefits of the companys marine transportation
services through presentations, meetings, and marketing materials.
Participation in industry events: Representing the company at trade shows, conferences,
and industry events to promote services and network with potential clients.
5. Operational Coordination
Liaising with operations: Coordinating with the operations team to ensure client
requirements are met and service delivery is seamless.
Problem-solving: Addressing any issues or disruptions in service to maintain client
satisfaction and service quality.
6. Reporting and Analysis
Sales reporting: Preparing regular reports on sales activities, revenue, and forecasts
for senior management.
Performance analysis: Analyzing sales performance data to identify areas for
improvement
and to track progress against targets.
7. Customer Support
Providing customer support: Assisting clients with queries, issues, or complaints,
ensuring a high level of customer service. Creating bookings, quotes, service contracts.
Follow-up: Ensuring continuous follow-up with clients post-sales to foster long-term
relationships and repeat business.
