We are currently seeking a referral coordinator to join our team. Must have great patient care service and interpersonal skills, flexibility, good organization and time management skills, attention to detail and professionalism.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordination of patient care. Must have quality customer service background.
- Answer incoming calls, screen calls, receive and convey messages via HIPAA compliant messaging system
- Verification of current patient demographics and Insurances
- Must understand how insurance works (HMO/PPO)
- Must be familiar with insurance portals to create referrals/authorizations
- Placing orders for DME products, imaging, and home health with insurance companies
- Scanning and uploading documents
- May be cross-trained in other areas to meet the needs of the clinic
- Insurances referrals
- Must have worked with EMR system before
Other Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bilingual skills English - Spanish (preferred but not a must)
