Logistics Coordinator
Opa Locka, Florida
Mon-Fri 8:00am to 4:30pm
$21-$23/hr
Responsible for processing of orders; coordinates shipments and provides support to the Customer Service and Finished Goods Warehouse operations and inventory control. Interacts with customers and consumers to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns, requests and complaints about the company’s products and services; Follows housekeeping, hygiene, sanitation, pest control, safety practices. Ensures that all activities are followed based on procedures, instructions, etc., as well as ISO 9001 requirements, and FDA, GMP, OSHA, & EPA regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Liaisons with Distributors, Customers and Distribution Center.
- Receives and processes orders (sales orders, transfers, returns) in coordination with Finished Goods Warehouse personnel.
- Coordinates shipments with carriers and maintains backup documentation (quotes, pick-up schedule, etc).
- Processes invoices and shipping documents (e.g. packing list, Bills of Ladings), and tracks shipments.
- Issues Credit Memos for merchandise returns from Customers and prepares affidavits, as appropriate.
- Assists on Finished Goods Warehouse Operations, including inventory control in ERP system, processing inventory transfers between storage locations; participating in inventory counts, data consolidation and analysis; processing of stamping production orders; record keeping.
- Provides support to the Customer Service function in the handling of customer and consumer inquiries and complaints, and properly reporting quality issues in uniPoint to the Quality function.
- Addresses customer issues and requests
- Addresses carrier-related issues (claims, incorrect invoicing, service issues, etc.
- Communicates well and in a timely fashion with immediate supervisor and co-workers, as needed.
- Assists in the tracking of performance and preparation of reports, as assigned
- Reports issues to Product Logistics Manager for corrective action.
Requirements:
Associate Degree (A.A.) in business from an accredited two year college or school, or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, understand and speak in English and Spanish.
Knowledge of Accounting software, spreadsheets, templates, customer services record systems, data conversion, Database software, Excel, Word, email and internet.
