Job Summary:

The YMCA is seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure the safe and timely transportation of children to and from YMCA programs and events. This role requires a commitment to providing excellent service and maintaining a positive environment for all passengers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Safely operate a bus or vehicle to transport passengers to designated locations.

- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.

- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior.

- Assist passengers as needed, including helping children board and exit the bus safely.

- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving.

- Communicate effectively with YMCA staff and parents regarding transportation schedules and any issues that may arise.

- Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including mileage and passenger counts.

Requirements:

Skills and Qualifications:

- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a passenger endorsement.

- Clean driving record and a strong commitment to safety.

- Previous experience driving buses or large vehicles preferred.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work with children and create a positive, welcoming environment.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Flexibility to work varied hours, including early mornings and evenings.

- CPR, AED, and First Aid required.
