We are seeking a Construction Accountant with strong QuickBooks Online experience to support our growing construction operations. This role will be responsible for day-to-day accounting, job cost tracking, subcontractor management, and monthly close activities.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in construction accounting, understands job costing, WIP, and AIA billing. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a keen eye for detail, and can manage financial systems with precision, you might be the perfect fit.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with maintaining daily accounting operations in QuickBooks Online
- Manage job costing by project, phase, and cost code
- Track and reconcile WIP schedules
- Prepare and review AIA billing and progress billings
- Record and monitor receivables and payables
- Process vendor invoices and subcontractor payments
- Manage 1099 preparation and compliance
- Assist with reconciling bank and credit card accounts monthly
- Assist with monthly close and financial reporting
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and job cost variance analysis processes
- Coordinate with project managers on cost tracking and profitability
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation
What You Bring
Experience & Skills
- 3+ years of construction accounting experience
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- Solid understanding of:

- Retainage
- Progress billing / AIA schedules
- Experience working with subcontractors and vendors
- High attention to detail and strong reconciliation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Schedule
Monday – Friday, 8am - 5pm, with occasional outside hours.
Job Type
Full-time, in office. Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Must have a reliable vehicle, a valid Florida driver’s license, and a good driving record.
